Happy Father's Day
Sunday, June 16th, 2019 @ 7:30 am PST (XPN). As reported by the BBC, "Hundreds of thousands of people are protesting in Hong Kong against a controversial extradition bill, despite the bill having been suspended." "Hong Kong was a British colony from 1841, when China ceded the island to the British after the First Opium War - which had erupted over British traders smuggling opium into China. It remained a colony until sovereignty was returned to China in 1997. It is now part of China under a 'one country, two systems' principle, which ensures that it keeps its own judicial independence, its own legislature and economic system." World News

Friday, June 14th, 2019 @ 5:00 pm PST (XPN). Donald Trump needs a war and XPN is predicting he will get his war. We know the same old worn-out script by now: The US declares who the bad guys are, goes to war, presidential national approval ratings skyrocket, American citizens patriotically band together to support their military, and of course the president is re-elected. Warfaring remains popular in the USA because it creates a lot of positives - the economy starts to recover and everyone (well, you-know-who) makes a lot of money. Yes, there will be anti-war protesters and a divided Congress will spend every day complaining and debating but that’s never stopped a US president from waging his war before. The question is not if but when will we go to war? One more thing… one of these days the rest of the world is going to say, “Enough is enough.” XPN Opinion/Dire Predictions
Friday, June 14th, 2019 @ 5:20 a.m. PST (XPN). From the BBC (Jonathan Marcus, Defence and Diplomatic Correspondent), "Although much remains to be revealed about the incidents, as far as the Trump administration is concerned, the evidence is clear. This inevitably raises questions about what happens next: how might the US respond? The stakes are high. What is the danger of a full-scale air and maritime conflict between Washington and Tehran?" Wednesday, June 12th, 2019 @ 6:30 pm PST (XPN). According to Gallup (May, 2019), 75% of the U.S. public disapproves of the way Congress is handling its job while 5% of respondents have no opinion. The shocker is that 20% reported approval. It is uncertain as to how or why anyone could approve of the job Congress is doing. Unanswered Questions
Wednesday, June 12th, 2019 @ 5:45 am PST (XPN). From the Sputnick article, "A Chinese report warned on Monday that most cyber attacks against Chinese networks in 2018 came from the US, which Chinese experts predicted that the latter is preparing to wage a large-scale ‘cyberwar' but China is prepared to launch a strong counterattack... The increase of the attacks indicates that the US is preparing large-scale cyber attacks against China, and could escalate to a 'cyberwar to run concurrently with its trade war to prevent China's rapid development, experts said.” Do you ever feel like us US citizens aren’t always told the entire story?
