Q:  How does someone respond positively to supervision?

A:  First, they need someone actually supervising them.  It helps if the supervisor is effective and positive.  The bottom line, though, is that if you are in a situation where you have to be "supervised," it's probably not gonna be a positive experience and therefore sometimes difficult to "respond positively."
